About This Event
The Property Workshop Series is part of a range of initiatives developed by ISQ and BGA to support and enhance the capability of school boards and school leaders to positively contribute to the design, construction and activation of new and refurbished educational facilities.
All workshops have been designed to run over two half day sessions. To complete a workshop topic, full attendance at both sessions is required, with the cost charged for session one covering the complete masterclass. Please register separately for each.
Post Occupancy Evaluation Workshop
ISQ and the Queensland Independent Schools Block Grant Authority (BGA) are excited to announce the Post Occupancy Evaluation Workshop as part of the 2026-2027 Workshop Series.
The Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) Workshop is designed to help school leaders and staff build capability to evaluate completed projects, capture user experiences, and translate insights into future planning, budgeting, and design decisions.
Over two sessions (Session 1 - Thursday 8 October, Session 2 - Thursday 5 November) participants will be introduced to the foundations of POE and how to use POE to support continuous project improvement. The sessions will help schools to:
Understand the purpose and value of POE, and how it can strengthen educational, operational and investment outcomes.
Become familiar with the BGA POE Toolkit and how to engage students, staff and the broader school community in the evaluation process.
Analyse POE findings and turn insights into actionable recommendations for future projects, maintenance and the effective use of facilities for education.
