About This Event

The Queensland Government has announced that the early childhood education and care sector will now be required to implement the Reportable Conduct Scheme from 1 July 2026.

This session will support services to prepare for these changes, which form part of the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024. The Act introduces 10 Child Safe Standards and a Reportable Conduct Scheme designed to strengthen child safety across all organisations working with children.

To support attendance across service types, we are offering two time slots to accommodate staff from Long Day Care, Outside School Hours Care, and Kindergarten settings.

The session will explore:

  • Contemporary Safeguarding

  • Safeguarding in Early Learning Centres

  • Your Role in Prevention

  • Professional Boundaries

How will I benefit?

  • Understand the legislative requirements under the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024, including the Reportable Conduct Scheme.

  • Learn how to embed the Child Safe Standards into everyday practice.

  • Explore strategies to prevent reportable conduct and respond appropriately to concerns.

  • Strengthen professional boundaries and safeguarding culture within their service.
